Oh, this is going to be gross. Storied director Barry Levinson teams up with the minds behind the Paranormal Activity franchise for this new movie, which takes the found footage trend and runs with it, using a wide variety of video sources to tell the tale of a mysterious bacteriological infection that starts in a Maryland shore town. It’s fair to say that I’m pretty burned out on handheld camera horror movies (how many years ago was Blair Witch now?), but maybe a real director at the helm can make this one worth watching. The Bay opens November 2nd.
