Transparent toaster is the greatest thing since sliced bread

by 5 years ago

Making toast is the most difficult simple task in the kitchen. You’d think after a few tries you’d have the settings down and it would come out perfect every time, but you’d be wrong. The Transparent toaster solves that problem.

This transparent toaster allows you to see the bread while it is toasting so you’re never surprised by toast that comes out too dark. This idea is based on a transparent heating glass technology. Although the glass does not currently get hot enough to toast bread, the vendor explained that, with some R&D, this application may be possible. The concept was developed by the Inventables Concept Studio.

Wait, it doesn’t actually function? So you have a fancy bread warmer? That’s awesome. I built this teleporter, it just doesn’t work yet, but you can imagine how easy it would be to rob banks if it did.

Bad jokes aside, this is a clever idea. Much like your oven and microwave, toasters have hot spots. Some coils just work better than others, and there’s nothing you can do about it except suffer through a random burned spot on your toast that’s reminiscent of Rasheed Wallace’s hair. Heating glass, on the other hand, would cook evenly. This is all far too much effort for a piece of bread if you ask me though.
