Iconic West Coast chain In-N-Out burger opened up a pop-up shop in a restaurant in London, meaning that the United Kingdom finally going to experience the deliciousness of In-N-Out Burger (god save the queen). This is a wonderful moment for us proud cheeseburger-eating Americans since (a. In-N-Out burger is clearly the most superior fast food burger chain in the continental U.S. and (b. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha we kicked your asses starting in 1776! In-N-Out is so distinctly OURS, as are much inferior copy-cat burger chains like Whataburger and Shake Shake. U-S-A. U-S-A. U-S-A!
So what happened when Londoners got to try the burgers first time? They broke out in tears. I didn’t know it was possible to have such a visceral reaction to a damn cheeseburger. Leave it to a damn dreary island nation in the Atlantic to cry like it’s an Adele or Sam Smith show over a cheeseburger.
It’s pretty intense. And, honest, embarassing. Get it together, LADS. Fortunately the only time I’ve ever cried eating In-N-Out burger is when I was coming out of a deep drunken bender in Las Vegas and thought the burger guy’s hat had an eagle on his head.
