Amazon Go Is An In-Store Shopping Experience That Is Literally Every Man’s Dream
I am a big fan of Amazon and I’ll tell you why. They like to disrupt shit and they like to do it in ways that benefits me.
For starters, you can literally buy anything you want or need (save for transportation, shelter, insurance, or fresh poultry) on Amazon and you can do it without leaving the comfort of your house. I love my house. I love comfort. I love people bringing everything I need directly to my doorstep. Real pleasure.
But Amazon knows that despite our best efforts, sometimes we need to leave the house to buy shit. It is a sad, disgusting fact of life. Amazon also knows that hell is other people. That’s why they are creating Amazon Go, the completely human-free, in-store shopping experience. No cashiers, no dipshits asking if they can help you find someone, no nothing. You walk in, you find all your shit, then you walk out. There isn’t even self-checkouts. Amazon is so smart they already know what you took. And if they don’t, that is on them, Bro. That’s their fuck up, not yours.
All joking aside (although I wasn’t really joking), this technology can eventually change the retail game as we know it. And if Amazon deploys these Amazon Go stores near Walmart and other competitors, I think those guys are fucked.
