52 Photos From The Amstel Light Burger Bash That Are So Mouth-Watering You’ll Want To Slap A Butcher

If you bros caught my interview on Monday with Andrew Zimmern, host of Bizarre Foods on the Travel Channel, then you know already that I was down in South Beach last weekend covering the Amstel Light Burger Bash. The Amstel Light Burger Bash is the premiere event of the annual South Beach Wine & Food Festival, it’s the beef-fueled event that attracts the biggest named celebrity chefs and it’s the event that brings out the best in food.

I’m not talking about burgers that are delicious simply because they were cooked to the perfect temperature, because these were the creme de la creme of burger chefs slanging beef at the Amstel Light Burger Bash. When you’ve got ‘Iron Chefs’ competing against one another it takes a whole lot more than a decent seasoning to set your burger apart. So I figured I’d pull together the best photos from the event for you bros, because I’ve now eaten a burger every day since last Friday (truly, I have), and I want you bros to share in that joy with me.

First up though, let’s take a look at Iron Chef Morimoto’s ‘Menchi Katsu Burger’ a panko fried burger with special sauce served on a potato roll, the burger that won the highly coveted Amstel Light People’s Choice Award. Essentially every person who was at the event received one chip, and with that one chip you were supposed to cast a vote for the best burger in the house. Iron Chef Morimoto picked up the most votes (his burger was in fact my favorite), and therefore he was named ‘The People’s Champ’ by Amstel Light…Now for the pics:

Celebrity Chef Tim Love’s ‘chicken fried burger’ out of Texas was next-level deliciousness:

I can personally vouch for this mac n cheese burger, it might look over the top but it was heavenly:

Let’s not forget the gorgeous Amstel Light ladies walking around the event, taking photos and hooking everyone up with an endless supply of Amstel Light:

Not a burger shot, just wanted to mention that I got to meet my childhood idol/hero, Bo Jackson, who was slanging meat at the ‘Bo’s Burgers’ stand within the Amstel Light Burger Bash:

The burger from the Beatrice Inn was easily my 2nd favorite, if you bros are in NYC you need to go eat this RIGHT NOW:

You can never go wrong with the Shake Shack (also, I interviewed the culinary director for Shake Shack, I’ll be publishing that soon as well):

I didn’t get to snap a picture of Chef George Patti’s burger during the Amstel Light Burger Bash, but this is his daily burger that he cooks up in Boca:

And last but not least, here’s my tweet of Iron Chef Morimoto making me a burger, the winner of the Amstel Light People’s Choice Award at the 10th Annual Amstel Light Burger Bash:

Well bros, I hope that got your mouth watering a little bit and that you’ll be joining me tonight in the eating of some burgers (I’m not breaking my streak). To keep up with Amstel Light and news of next year’s Amstel Light Burger Bash make sure to go like them on Facebook, and I just want to send a personal thank you to Amstel Light/Heineken for bringing me along to this year’s 10th Annual Amstel Light Burger Bash!
