Here Are the Anti-Racism PSAs MTV Will Air During Tonight’s VMAs

With civil unrest still fresh in the nation’s conscience because of the events in Ferguson, Missouri, MTV’s VMAs will take a stance.

The show, known for Miley twerking, Madonna rolling and Britney stripping, wants to tell its viewers to care about the outside world. And not be racist. Here’s MTV President Stephen Friedman.

“It’s a call to action to our audience that we have to confront our own bias head-on before we can truly create change. The ongoing message for our audience is not to be color blind, but to be color brave.”

And the ads.
