A Mob Of Anti-Trump Protesters Violently Attacked Trump Supporters Outside A Rally In California

Here in America, you can have a political belief without being imprisoned or violently attacked for it. Written straight into the Constitution, the freedom of belief is the very bedrock of what makes this country great. After sticking it to Britain, our forefathers made it pretty cut-and-dry in the First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Outside a Trump rally in San Jose, California on Thursday evening, an angry mob of protesters trampled all over this sacred belief. With blatant disregard for the protected Constitutional principles, a mob of anti-Trump protestors attacked Trump supporters exercising their right to peacefully assembly. The scene is sickening, regardless of your political beliefs.

Here are a few tweets documenting the violence and mayhem, including a man who was slashed in the face and a woman who was egged.

It’s a dark day for The Republic when mobs think that this is acceptable behavior for political beliefs that are different from theirs.

Let’s hope the violent perpetrators are identified, arrested, and rightfully prosecuted by the criminal justice system.
