Word Up To This Bro Who Did A Line At A Drunk Pizza Spot, Then Tried To Fight The Cop Who Spotted Him

They say let he who is without sin cast the first stone, so I’m not sure I should even be writing this blog post.

Because I have most certainly been out of my mind hemmed up at the pizza place in question. Goody’s in Arlington, Virginia is a slice oasis in a sea of bro bars, and at three in the morning is many area drunks’ only salvation.

Shit can get out of hand. I’ve seen many, many brawls there. Mostly over spots in line. But never have I seen a Bro huff a line off a table (you usually eat your pizza outside), then try and fight the cop who saw him doing it.

But that’s just what happened this weekend, according to WTOP.

The incident happened just before 3 a.m. Police say 26-year-old William Donovan of Vienna, Va. was sitting by himself at a table in the tiny pizzeria, snorting cocaine. A uniformed Arlington County police officer who was standing nearby witnessed the alleged drug doing and went to arrest Donovan.

At that point Donovan, who police say was highly intoxicated, defiantly said something to the effect of “I’m going home tonight,” and took a “fighting stance,” according to ACPD spokesman Dustin Sternbeck.

Donovan began kicking and punching the officer, prompting a witness to jump in and help restrain him while additional officers sped to the scene, Sternbeck said.

Donovan was charged with LOTS of crime, but he did apologize to the officer while being transported to jail, which is nice of him.

No word on if he even finished his slice though. Probably didn’t need to, what with the cocaine and all.
