Chipotle’s E.coli Outbreak Has Spread To 3 States Including New York Causing Bloody Dumps From Coast To Coast

Did you recently eat at Chipotle and suffering from any of the following maladies:

  • Abdominal cramping
  • Sudden, severe watery diarrhea that may change to bloody stools
  • Gas
  • Loss of appetite/nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Fatigue
  • Fever

Then congrats, you probably ate a burrito laced with E.coli. Yes, the guac might be extra at Chipotle, but the E.coli is free of charge. Chipotle’s E. coli outbreak has spread to six states according to federal officials. It was only two weeks ago that Chipotle was forced to close 43 restaurants Oregon and Washington after 43 customers got sick after eating at the burrito chain. Of those who were infected, 16 people were hospitalized and thankfully there were no deaths from bloody dumps. Now, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the E.coli outbreak has now spread to California, Ohio, New York and Minnesota. Oh shit.

Chairman and co-CEO of Chipotle, Steve Ells, offered his “sincerest apologies to those who have been affected,” and said in a statement, “We are committed to taking any and all necessary actions to make sure our food is as safe as possible, and we are working diligently with the health agencies.” Great. Now what am I supposed to do? Eat at Qdoba like an animal?

I don’t understand what all the fuss is about? E.coli is all natural, organic, locally sourced, sustainable, gluten-free, non-GMO And cruelty free.

This is the company’s third food safety lapse this year, and it has caused Chipotle’s shares to tumble 12.3 percent to $536.19 on Friday, marking an 18-month low.

Remember, you can’t spell “Chipotle” without “E.coli.”
