Democratic Congressional Delegate Stacey Plaskett’s Sex Tape Leaked, And I’m Suddenly Into Politics

Not into politics? Is the seemingly never-ending race for the 2016 presidential election making you hate politics even more? Well, maybe this odd story will pique your fancy. Stacey Plaskett, a delegate to Congress, had her computer hacked and an apparent sex tape was leaked.

Politico reported that a “sex tape” and a “topless selfie” featuring Stacey Plaskett was revealed on a Facebook page and other social media platforms on Wednesday night. Plaskett, 52, is the Virgin Islands’ delegate to Congress.

The “private” footage showed her husband, Jonathan Buckney-Small (Unfortunate last name when your alleged sex tape gets leaked), naked and wearing makeup. The video was initially described to Politico as a “sex tape,” but Plaskett aides disputed that characterization of the recording.

The Virgin Islands Consortium has details on the “bizarre” video:

The congresswoman can be heard talking while recording her husband with a cellphone. He appears to be fully naked and is wearing lipstick and eye shadow. Then, he says something to one of their children — appearing to be between 5-7 years old — who then appears behind her seemingly naked father.

Plaskett released a statement on the troubling situation:

“The theft and distribution of these personal images via the internet marks a new low in Virgin Islands politics. I am shocked and deeply saddened that someone would stoop to such a level as to invade my marriage and the love of my family in an attempt to besmirch me politically.

Private photographs shared between my husband and me, as well as a private playful video of our family, including one of our children, were illegally obtained and disseminated via the internet. To say my family and I are greatly upset would be a tremendous understatement.

As a mother I am outraged that one of my children was exploited in such a way. The theft and dissemination of these images via the internet is a shockingly disgusting invasion of my family’s and my privacy — not to mention criminal acts in violation of both territorial and federal law.”

Plaskett contacted the FBI and U.S. Capitol Police to report the incident.

“Our office is currently working with the Capitol Police and the FBI and I can confirm that an active investigation is underway to find out who committed this crime and anyone else who may have been involved,” said Jerome Murray, Plaskett’s chief of staff.

It’s 2016, Snapchat those nudes.
