The Dancing Man Who Was Bullied Finally Got His Celebrity Dance Party

Back in February, an anonymous 4chan user uploaded two photos of Sean O’Brien, one with the London man dancing, and another with him hanging his head after being laughed at. The photo had a caption of: “spotted this specimen trying to dance the other week. He stopped when he saw us laughing.” Cassandra Fairbanks saw the cruel post and posted the 47-year-old man’s photo on Twitter to see if anyone knew him. She promised to throw him a kickass party full of hot chicks. And the #FindDancingMan campaign soon went viral.

Within 12 hours the Dancing Man was found, the news reached Sean and he happily accepted Cassandra’s invitation to the epic dance party. The sad body-shaming made Sean an instant celebrity, and last week he even danced with Meghan Trainor on the Today Show.

Finally, on Saturday night the #FindDancingMan party went down and it was a doozy. It was held at the historic Avalon nightclub in Hollywood, where celebrities included Pharrell, Moby, Andrew W.K. and Monica Lewinsky stood up to bullying.

Bystander Revolution is an organization that “help defuse bullying, and their ultimate goal is the discussion and spread of simple habits of leadership, kindness, and inclusion.” They made an anti-bullying video for the event and this is the preview.

And the Dancing Man finally had his shame-free dance party.
