Dude Gives Up Masturbation For 700 DAYS, Claims It Gave Him ‘Superpowers’ And May Have Convinced Me To Stop—Tomorrow
I know I’m not alone in this when I say that every few months I challenge myself not to masturbate for an extended period of time–usually I set the bar at a week. My reasoning is usually that chronic masturbation is desensitizing and it drains my sexual drive to actually approach women in real life, which in turn, causes me to have less sex (with another person).
The experiment usually works about as well as Elon Musk’s SpaceX project. I’d estimate, on average, I’ve lasted longer holding my breath than I have restrained myself from whackin it. And I’m a smoker. I have about as much self-control as Brad Pitt at a Russian whore house.
I think I need to join the Reddit community “NoFap”, a supportive community whose members have abstained from porn and masturbation, for the same reasons I’ve listed above.
A reddit user named Brohit posted an eloquent and motivating story about how he axed masturbating from his life for TWO AND A HALF YEARS and the invaluable benefits that came with it.
Brohit claims his mind has become clearer and he “was at peace more often.” He claims going jerk free instilled in him so much confidence that he felt like he had “superpowers,” in part due to the surge of energy he woke up with daily.
Brohit also raised a point that’s tough to argue with, suggesting that the ‘constant glorification of sex’ has ‘fogged our general perspective’.
“Now we can only think about sex and what it would be like to sleep with women that have ‘perfect’ bodies,” he said.
“At least now I can take comfort in the fact that if I can control my urge to jerk off then I have developed a strong enough will power to beat an addiction that people blindly don’t even consider an addiction,” he said.
“I still face the same urges I did 700 days ago, but I like to think that I’m much stronger now.”
He left us with a motivational pep talk.
“Happiness and satisfaction comes from within. Just let that void be. Don’t try to fill it with anything. That void within ourselves is what makes us human.
Have faith you guys. Faith in yourself. Stay strong!
You can do it!”
You know what! Today’s the day!!
*10 minutes pass*
*New Incognito tab*
*Starts beating it like a battery-drained remote control*
Tomorrow. Tomorrow is a new day.
I’m going to need some help.
