During SXSW there are so many films to check out, beers to drink and bands to see that you can’t be wasting your precious time getting locked up.
This guy says “Peace” to Austin Police when they are arresting him. While the cops are distracted by apprehending another man, this dude eventually staggers to his feet (Being drunk and handcuffed does not improve your equilibrium).
With his hands tightly bound behind his back he begins to run into the crowd. The revelers are abuzz with the daring escape attempt and one onlooker shouts, “Homeboy’s running! Homeboy’s running!”
It turns out that you can’t really blend into the crowd when you’re sprinting with your arms behind your back and you have handcuffs on. There were various reports that the runaway criminal was quickly apprehended.
Since this went down on 6th Street, here is a special dedication to our very determined friend who isn’t going to let a little thing like an arrest stop him from enjoying the SXSW festivities.
