Working in this business it seems like I end up covering these ‘boss takes employees on dream vacation’ at least a handful of times each year, but this one is above and beyond anything I’ve heard of before. The founder and chairman of Evolve Mixed Martial Arts (Evolve MMA) took all 100 of his employees on vacation to a five-star all-inclusive resort in The Maldives as a gesture of appreciation after his company saw a 30% spike in growth this year. So, bros, if you could just start fucking clicking these article 30% more maybe I’d get a vacation to The Maldives next year (not a shot in hell).
So how much this trip set him back? Half a million dollars. Founder of Evolve MMA, Chatri Sityodtong, shelled out $500,000 to take his employees to one of the most luxurious places on the planet.
This isn’t the first time he’s taken his employees to an exotic destination as a thank you for helping grow the business, but it’s certainly the most $$$$$ he’s shelled out on any vacation to date. Here’s what Chatri Sityodtong had to say regarding his decision to spend half a million dollars on this year’s crazy trip (via Metro UK):

‘Every year, I take the entire team on an all-expenses-paid trip to a five-star luxury resort at a surprise destination.
‘Many of my staff would love to travel the world, but do not have the means to do so.
‘The vast majority of my team at Evolve come from humble backgrounds of poverty, tragedy, or adversity. For them, Evolve is the greatest opportunity to escape poverty and to achieve the life of their dreams.
‘The best deserve the best. It is only fair. We do our best to hire the best people in the world, giving out only one job offer for every 200 applicants.
‘So they should be compensated as such. We work hard, and we play hard.’

I’ve been fortunate enough in this line of work (blogging) to take some truly ridiculous trips. Most notably, when I spent a few days on the French Riviera partying at the Cannes Film Festival. But I’d donate my left kidney to spend a week in The Maldives at a 5-star all-inclusive resort, that’s the dream….So if any of you bros are out there and want me to write about your life then you should know all you need to do is fly me to The Maldives and I’ll get you up on this website ASAP.
