The definition of something having “jumped the shark” came from an episode of Happy Days, when the Fonz decided to literally jump over a shark. The episode came to be known as when the series finally started to go downhill, bringing the phrase “jumping the shark” to mean “Hey, this shit is getting old/boring/stupid/bad/synonyms!”
Adele jumped the shark several months ago. Trolling people with Adele lyrics has been lame and annoying since at least February, and yet people are still doing it, albeit poorly. This guy did an alright job, and even though you’re going to read this and be like “Ugh, again? Can’t we come up with something new?” at least be happy it’s not a Rick Roll:
