The backstory: In Hamilton, Ontario recently, a woman was detained for god-knows-what. Her arresting officers pinned her down and attempted to cuff her. They then remain remarkably restrained and cool for seven minutes while the girl screams, thrashes around, and is egged on by a shithead, cell-camera-holding friend who throws out cogent legal arguments like, “I study law.” And “she's just a girl.”
In the States, she would have been tased about 20 seconds in. And while I'm normally anti-police escalation of violence, in this case even the Dalai Lama wouldn't bat an eye.
