GRAPHIC: Photo Emerges Of Chinese Restaurant Serving HUMAN Feet To Diners And That’s Not How You Make Soul Food

This story is a shoe-in for most disturbing restaurant review of the week. A Chinese restaurant in Italy did not put their best foot forward when they allegedly served human feet to diners. To boot, there is a graphic and ghastly photo of the decomposed human foot. Who says that there are no soul food restaurants in Italy?

The callous restaurant got off on the wrong foot after allegedly serving two severed human feet in a blue bowl. A Slovenian man went to the restaurant in Padua and ordered the Chinese delicacy of bear paws. He probably should have ordered the Dover Sole. Instead of bear paws, the northern Italian restaurant brought him two human feet. If I was the diner at that restaurant, I know for damn sure that I would not foot the bill.

Police consulted a forensic pathologist about the grisly picture and they confirmed that they are human feet. We’re waiting for the other shoe to drop because authorities are still verifying the photo’s authenticity. If the photo is legit, this restaurant shot itself in the foot. Inspectors are sure to sock it to the restaurant and maybe even close it permanently.

The disgusting photo was seen on social media and the digital footprint of the pic shows that it was posted by an employee at the restaurant. Instead of toeing the line, the server, who waited hand and foot on the Slovenian man, posted a photo of the nasty dish and claims that the photo was taken in the kitchen, instantly becoming the restaurant’s archenemy. Quite the brave feat to go toe-to-toe with your employer and risk losing your job. The waiter must have had the sole purpose to do the right thing or thought to himself, “What if the shoe was on the other foot?”

The footy meal was trouble right out of the gate, but apparently serving human feet isn’t the restaurant’s only Achilles heel. Food inspectors were afoot and found more disturbing practices at the stinky restaurant. They discovered 55lbs of meat and frozen fish of doubtful origin, plus there were packages of frog legs and crab meat that were well beyond their expiration dates. There was also dirt and grease all over the refrigerators, on the floors and on the oven. The restaurant’s legal status and whether it is still operating are unclear.

It’s okay if you have cold feet and don’t want to witness the gruesome photo.

I’m pretty sure that’s how you get foot-in-mouth disease, but there’s also a good chance that this dish will heal the soul.

Food for thought, or foot for thought in this situation, if you are in Italy why are you going to a Chinese restaurant where you order bear paws?

Hopefully, the appropriate steps are made to ensure that this never happens again.
