Ever wondered how you stack up in the sack? A new study revealed the average time that it takes for most couples to have sex, and the numbers may surprise you.

Lovehoney, an online sex toy retailer, surveyed 4,400 of their customers and asked them how long it takes them to have foreplay and sex. They found that heterosexual couples last 19 minutes, which includes 10 minutes of foreplay and nine minutes of penetrating intercourse.

19 MINUTES!!!

What are they doing it six times?

With two-minute breaks in between?

Of the surveyed couples, 52% said they were happy with that number, while 23% of men and 19% said they wanted longer sexy sessions. Greedy.

Last year, psychologist Dr. Brendan Zietsch wrote an article where he asked the question, “What is the average amount of time for a dude to blow a load during sex?” The University of Queensland assisted on the question and “researched” 500 couples from the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Spain, Turkey, and the United States that had a stable heterosexual relationship for at least 6 months. Over a four-week period, they discovered that times for intercourse varied greatly from a disappointing two-pump chump 33 seconds all the way up to a Sting-like tantric sex marathon of 44 minutes.

It’s always a good to employ the “ladies come first” strategy and then you can last as long or as little as you’d like.

Now don’t blow it.
