The Largest, Scariest, Most Terrifying Spider Ever Photographed Will Haunt Your Dreams Forever

You could make a case that a handful of other spider species in the world are deserving of the title ‘most terrifying spider on planet earth’ but if you ask me (and thousands of others) that honor would go to the Huntsman Spider. The name ‘Huntsman Spider’ actually refers to most spiders under the family Sparassidae (formerly Heteropodidae), and some of these spiders have been known to eat creatures larger than you’d ever expect (birds, monitor lizards, etc).

They’re found all throughout the world in tropical regions with warm/temperate climates, which includes Barnyard Betty’s Rescue in Queensland, Australia, a farm animal sanctuary. The photographs below of the largest, most terrifying huntsman spider imaginable have been making the rounds (even though the pics are from October of last year) and causing panic all across the Internet and it’s easy to see why because it’s completely fucking rattling to know that there are spiders this big out there in the wild:

And just for good measure, here’s another terrifying spider that can be found at Barnyard Betty’s Rescue:

Well, bros, I hope you weren’t planning on ever sleeping again because this is going to haunt your dreams forever and ever. And if you haven’t reached the breaking point yet just check this out:
