The last time we heard about Jared Fogle he was reportedly back packing on all the pounds he lost eating Subway. Apparently you can’t “eat fresh” in prison.
Another thing you apparently can’t do in prison is be a convicted pedophile because for some reason there are inmates there who don’t take too kindly to that sort of thing. At least according to a new report by TMZ…
According to docs, Fogle got jumped in the rec yard at Englewood prison in Colorado back on January 29, and it was not much of a fight. An inmate named Steven Nigg pushed Fogle down and then unloaded a barrage of punches to his face.
Nigg, who’s in for a weapons charge, left Fogle with a bloody nose, swollen face and scratches on his neck. 60-year-old Nigg was also injured — a small cut on his left hand from delivering the whuppin’. Prison officials put Nigg in solitary as punishment.
TMZ even spoke to Nigg’s family who said they weren’t surprised by the beatdown. They say he was upset by the number of child sex predators he sees in Colorado’s Federal Correctional Institution and and “Fogle was just the last straw.”
Reportedly Fogle’s nickname in prison is “Chomo” which is short for child molester so he’s obviously not real popular in the can.
I guess Fogle’s learning the hard way that it’s pretty bad when you carry out a crime that even criminals want to beat your as for committing.
