Today is National Doughnut Day, and many doughnut purveyors are offering free deep-fried dough rings (Here’s how to get your free donuts). But why should Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme have all of the fun? Oreo jumped into the doughnut frenzy by releasing Jelly Donut Oreos.
For a limited time only, Jelly Donut Oreos will exclusively hit the shelves of Walmart starting this weekend for the price of $2.98. Nabisco says the Jelly Donut Oreo “has a Golden Oreo cookie, raspberry center and custard outer ring.”
The tempting flavor was created by fans of the famous cookie in an Oreo Vote program held last year. The Jelly Donut flavor actually lost the contest to the Cookies and Creme cookie but Walmart and Nabisco decided to make the new flavor anyway.
