If Your Wife Is The Mayor, Wearing A KKK Halloween Costume Is Probably An Awful Idea

To rephrase, wearing a KKK Halloween costume is a horrible idea, period.

But apparently, Cary Sharp, the husband of Lahoma, Oklahoma, Mayor Theresa Sharp, thought dressing up as a Ku Klux Klan member along with his friends would be a good “prank” for Halloween. And for good measure, Sharp and his friends carried lit torches and a wooden cross, you know, for the full effect and everything. Quite obviously, the dude and his friends are idiots for even thinking the idea would be remotely funny, much less an acceptable sight for the children of his neighborhood while they scattered from house to house collecting candy.

Understandably, the Lahoma community is outraged by the KKK Halloween costumes as they have every right to be.

Even worse, it sounds like Mayor Theresa Sharp won’t even take responsibility for her husband’s beyond ignorant actions.

“[It] happened on my property. You know, I don’t know what else to say other than I’m sorry to the community and I’m sorry to the public,” Mayor Sharp told the news station, which noted that the mayor was holding back tears. “It was the stupidity and actions of four separate individuals and it does not reflect on me or anyone else who is in the community.”

Like, hey lady, this is your husband we’re talking about! It’s totally your job as his wife to veto these repulsive costumes the very second they were suggested, for reasons I clearly don’t even need to elaborate upon. I mean, it’s straight-up embarrassing Cary Sharp even made it out of his house dressed like a KKK member without any intervention, before standing in his yard for all passers-by to see, looking like he was partaking in some Ku Klux Klan ritual. The Sharps totally deserve all the outrage their community is throwing their way right now. Can’t even believe this lady still holds the title of Mayor.

Every time I think stupidity has reached its stupidest point, people like Cary Sharp come along and manage to go stupider. Smh.
