Lady Gaga Created A Painting By Having Sex On A Canvas Because Art

Edgar Degas, a 19th-century French artist, once said, “Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” I have no fucking clue as to what that actually means, but I guess that is the sentiment that Lady Gaga was trying to achieve in her cover for V Magazine where she made an artistic painting by having sex with her fiance Taylor Kinney on a canvas.

The piece has a subtle flow, beautiful contrast with dramatic, vibrant coloring. I have no idea what I’m talking about, it looks like someone ate too much guacamole and took a bloody shit.

Gaga said, “I asked (Kinney) to collaborate with me on a project to raise money and awareness about mental illness, (and) he immediately brought my attention back to this idea. We made love on the canvas on a Sunday in Chicago.”

I wonder how many strokes it took to complete the painting?

“We made love amidst chaos. We talked about shootings. We made love amidst terrorism. And we talked about how people’s hearts are also suffering all over the world as they watch and witness a swell of violence. We made love amidst violence.” Sounds erotic.

But the question is, did they name the painting “Moaning Lisa?”

Lady Gaga will donate 100 percent of the sale proceeds from this particular cover to her Born This Way Foundation, which helps to promote youth issues and wellness. So banging in paint can help the world.

Gaga designed 16 different covers for the magazine, many of which paid tribute to her style icons. One of the covers features Daphne Guinness. She is apparently an artist, poet and musician, but more importantly she is an heir by direct descent of Arthur Guinness, the 18th-century inventor and founder of the Irish beer that still bears his name. And she has a nice rack that Lady Gaga is cradling.

So hooray for “art!”
