Nature is crazy. The YouTube account Kruger Sightings shared this insane video of lions hunting buffaloes that has a surprise ending.
We take you to the Mala Mala Private Game Reserve at the Greater Kruger National Park in South Africa to see this unbelievable circle of life moment. A pack of lions attacked a herd of buffalo to weed out the weakest one. At the 1:19 mark they find the one buffalo that can’t run away from the predators.
The five lions gang up on the wounded prey and take the defenseless animal down at the 2:24 mark.
The buffalo is laying on the ground and about to be devoured. Then at the 4:00 mark all hell breaks loose when one lioness attacks another lioness. A lion attempts to break up the cat fight, but they continue to maul one another. Now it’s an all-out lion royal rumble with all of the big cats fighting each other.
The buffalo sees his opportunity and takes it. While the lions are brawling, the buffalo limps away.
The morale of the story is fighting with your relatives can always wait, but your dinner can not, especially if it’s alive.
