People who work their way toward success generally learn how to live in each tax bracket before jumping to the next, and the adjustment from the middle class to wealthy isn’t a major shock. The Daily Mail reports:

A convicted meth dealer who invested $3million in lottery winnings into a drug trafficking ring has been sentenced to 21 years in prison.
Ronnie Music Jr. of Waycross, Georgia, was sentenced on Monday after pleading guilty to conspiring to traffic large amounts of methamphetamine and being a felon in possession of firearms.
Music won the money from a scratch-off lottery game in February 2015 and used the money to buy more crystal meth to sell, prosecutors said.
After hitting the jackpot in the scratch off game called 100X The Money, Music said: ‘I buy tickets every once in awhile. I couldn’t believe it, and I still don’t believe it yet.’
In TV interviews at the time, Music said he planned to save his winnings.
But he ended up using the money to buy crystal meth while enlisting others to sell the drug at a profit. Via

When Tennessee police found Ronnie Music Jr. they seized $600K in cash, and an estimated $1 million worth of crystal meth, guns, and cars. He’s now looking at the prospect of spending the rest of his life in prison after getting slapped with a 21-year prison sentence.

Why such a hefty sentence? Well, this isn’t Ronnie Music Jr’s first arrest for crystal meth. Back in 2009, he was convicted of running a meth lab and possession of meth. For that crime, he received a 10-year sentence by only served 3 of those 10 years before he was released on parole. Oh! He was also found guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm not once but twice. So Mr. Music Jr. might have luck when it comes to the lottery but he’s made some shitty ass decisions when it comes to life.
