Guy Blows Up Shed And Destroys $25K In Tools Just To Get Rid Of Some Spiderwebs

I had an ant problem in my house. I called an exterminator. They eventually returned. I should have just torched the place like this 74-year-old guy from North Carolina.

Alright, he didn’t mean to burn his shed down, but he doesn’t have a spider problem anymore. Or a shed.

Henry Wayne Gurley said he routinely uses a propane torch to burn spider webs around his home and shed at 122 Brown Farms Drive off Triplett Road.

He’s done it that way for 16 years, and never had any issue, he said.

While performing the task on Wednesday evening, Gurley took a break for about five minutes to go inside his home, he said.

Then he heard a boom.

Hearing a boom is never good BUT hearing the boom and remaining alive, well, that’s a good thing. Right?

Gurley wasn’t injured, but the fire consumed the building. He figured the blaze started when one of the two propane tanks stored inside the shed exploded.

I usually knock down spiderwebs with brooms. Not booms.
