Matt Jackson’s was on an absolute heater on Jeopardy! over the past few weeks, winning $413,612 over the show’s 4th longest win streak ever (13 episodes). Having won so much money and peeling off the show’s longest win streak in quite some time, Matt Jackson is already in the same conversation with Jeopardy! greats Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter, but Matt Jackson stands alone, in terms of honesty and integrity.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m the biggest Ken Jennings fan you’ll ever find, but Ken would never turn himself in for answering incorrectly. Neither would Brad. Those two are brilliantly gifted Jeopardy! competitors, but it’s just not in their nature to give up $$$$$ and winning. Until watching this clip I wasn’t really sure how to feel about Matt Jackson, because he’s a tough guy to get a read on. Sometimes he comes off as unintentionally hilarious, other times he seems very self aware and calculated. But this was a stand up move from Matt, and for that he’s earned a lot of respect. I’m very much looking forward to seeing him go up against Brad and Ken in a future ‘Tournament of Champions’, because his 13-game win streak seemed over way too soon.
