Insulting to some yet a compliment to others, Matt LeBlanc of Friends fame had an awkward moment with Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke at the Emmy Awards on Sunday night when he told her that he needed to check out her nude scenes.
Speaking about Thrones on the red carpet, LeBlanc said “I saw the first season, then fell out of touch with it and then I guess that was when she started getting naked. So I need to catch up.”
Don’t know what show you were watching LeBlanc, but Clarke gets naked LOADS of times in the first season of Thrones. It’s not like she got breast implants and a tummy tuck halfway through season 4 – you saw it in season one, it ain’t any different later on.
While Clarke took the comment in stride without any offense, Twitter was a different story:

Matt Leblanc sounded like a douchebag talking about missing Emilia Clarke nude scenes. Emilia handled it like a PRI on #ERedcarpet

"I heard she gets naked so I need to keep watching," Matt LeBlanc, talking about Emilia Clarke… who was listening to him. #Emmys

Though one eagle-eyed Twitter user did note…
The context was important in this case. They'd met before. I think he even said it to her on the show. She laughed along too.

In which case, Clarke was possibly more flattered than grossed out with LeBlanc’s comment. Or not. I don’t know! The only person who can answer that question is Clarke, and not the thousands of idiots on Twitter who feel the need to weigh in on every little thing like their opinion matters.
