Yesterday we told you about how Taylor Swift might’ve farted while introducing the video for her song “Wildest Dreams,” and while most of us were sitting here like “There’s no way that’s real….oh wow wait that DOES legit sound like a fart erupting out of Taylor’s dainty little dong chute,” we couldn’t say for sure. Was it a fart? A microphone malfunction? Or did one of her girl posse members push out a wet one right as Taylor’s eyes got real big?
Well according to MTV, the real answer is…NONE OF THOSE THINGS. Life is boring and lame, you should’ve seen that coming.
An MTV spokesperson explained to Mirror Celebs: “MTV confirmed that the sound heard in the moment Taylor Swift introduced her new music video, Wildest Dreams, was isolated to a production microphone.
“There was absolutely no possibility of it being Taylor or anyone in her party’s microphones picking up ambient sounds.”(via)
So there you have it: Taylor Swift did not fart on stage at the VMAs, or if she did it was silent. Swifty seems like she’d be a silent farter, so I’m going to pretend she spent her entire “Bad Blood” performance crop dusting the audience. That’s a nice little mental image to start my day off.
