Back in August, Brandon told you that 1-hour alcohol delivery from Amazon was coming, and now, with a tear in my eye, I am exuberantly pleased to announce that Amazon now delivers soul-soothing alcohol to New York City in a mere one hour.
Amazon.com already has one-hour delivery service in Manhattan, but it did not include alcohol. The spirit delivery service through Amazon was only offered in Seattle, the company’s hometown. But today, it all changes because the online shopping giant now gets you booze in NYC in 60 minutes or less.
If you are a member of Amazon Prime, one-hour deliveries will cost $7.99, and if you have a full two-hours to wait for your hooch, they will deliver it for free. Alcoholics will have a real issue with that extra hour of no booze.
The beer, wine and spirits will be delivered in Manhattan from the food market Eataly. You will also be able to get yummies from Eataly including “fresh pastas, delicious sauces, smoked meats, specialty cheeses, and sweet Italian treats.” All perfect for when you’re starving and need to feed your hangover.
The company did not say if it was expanding that convenience elsewhere.
The alcohol gods have smiled down upon us on this fine day.
