New York Daily News Calls NRA President A ‘Terrorist,’ Compares Him To San Bernardino Shooter Syed Farook

The New York Daily News are professional provocateurs and are not shy about their unabashed anti-gun stance. Just two days ago, the cover of the NYDN slammed GOP presidential candidates and other Republicans for sending prayers to the victims of the San Bernardino shooting despite being pro-gun. Now the pull no punches paper is taking aim at the NRA.

Friday’s cover of the New York Daily News features a photo Syed Farook, the San Bernardino shooter who killed 14 people. In bold red and white letters the headline reads, “HE’S A TERRORIST.” The headline represents new details that Farook’s motivation for the massacre may have been terrorism because he was possibly radicalized. Law enforcement sources told CNN that Farook was in touch with more than one terrorism subject who the FBI were already investigating. CBS News reported that the suspects viewed ISIS propaganda online. Not to mention the vast stockpile of weapons that Farook and his wife Tashfeen Malik had. ABC News reports that the shooters had homemade bombs, plus more than 1,600 rounds of ammunition with them and another 4,500 at their home in Redlands, California.

The cover of the popular newspaper also featured the photos of the alleged Planned Parenthood shooter Robert Dear, apparent Charleston, S.C. church gunman Dylann Roof, Newtown, Connecticut school shooter Adam Lanza and the convicted Auora, Colorado movie theater shooter James Holmes. Above their heads was the words, “But so are these guys.”

Then there was an image of National Rifle Association president Wayne LaPierr with a headline of “AND this guy.” The NYDN also slams LaPierr and his pro-gun organization by saying, “Syed Farook joins long list of murderous psychos enabled by NRA’s sick gun jihad against America in the name of profit.”

Hot take to say the least.
