The First Viral Optical Illusion Of 2017 Is Of Sliced Ham. Yes, Sliced Ham.
We love ourselves some fucking optical illusions. Last year ended with the photo of six chicks sitting on a couch and yet there were only five pairs of legs. The first viral optical illusion of 2017 is sliced ham. So we’ve got that going for us, which is nice.
The porky pic was posted on Reddit’s /r/mildlyinteresting by none other than MelvinDickpictweet. Yes, THE MelvinDickpictweet. He posted the swinetastic photo of sliced ham, and at first glance, it seems to just be a blurry pic of ham. However, after further inspection, you notice that the wood grain in the table is in perfect focus.
It’s not even fancy Jamón ibérico. It’s shitty store brand sliced ham.
My eyes are goin’ HAM on the ham and it is giving me motion sickness.
One of my astute followers on Twitter explained that ham can show iridescence, which is the “phenomenon of certain surfaces that appear to gradually change color as the angle of view or the angle of illumination changes, such as in soap bubbles.
So there ya go. Mystery solved!
