Pearl Jam Moves Crowd With Stirring Covers Of Eagles Of Death Metal Song And John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’

Friday marked a week since the horrible tragedy of the Paris terrorist attacks, and Pearl Jam has not forgotten about the 130 victims. The band is currently on their South American tour and they played a sold-out concert at the Estadio de Maracana in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on Friday. During the show, Pearl Jam played a cover of Eagles of Death Metal’s “I Want You So Hard (Boy’s Bad News).” The Eagles of Death Metal were performing onstage when ISIS terrorists slaughtered concertgoers at the Bataclan Theater.

“We’ve never played this,” Eddie Vedder told the crowd before launching into the EODM’s song.

In addition to the Eagles of Death Metal cover, Pearl Jam also played John Lennon’s “Imagine”, the Beatles’ “Rain” and Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb.” Adding more songs to the extensive list of tremendous covers that they already do.
