Thousands took to the streets to protest Donald J. Trump being voted as the next President of the United States on Thursday night, the third straight night of demonstrations in various cities across the United States including Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Denver, Minneapolis, Baltimore, Dallas and Oakland, California.
The most violent anti-Trump rally went down in Portland, Oregon turned from a peaceful protest to a riot as protesters turned violent. There were several anarchists in the crowd who threw objects at police officers, vandalized local businesses and damaged cars, Portland Police Sgt. Pete Simpson said.
Police have deployed less lethal munitions such as OC spray and vapor (pepper spray), rubber ball distraction devices, rubber baton rounds.

Police publicly called the protest “unlawful” and declared the assembly as a “riot” due to “extensive criminal and dangerous behavior.” There were at least 26 protesters arrested.

Donald Trump weighed in on the protests and blamed the media and professional protesters.
Just had a very open and successful presidential election. Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair!

This morning the next POTUS said he “loved the fact that the small groups of protesters have passion for our great country.”
