Robert Downey Jr. Uses Insults I’ve Never Heard Before When Talking To Howard Stern About The Interviewer He Walked Out On

Robert Downey Jr. recently walked out on Channel 4’s Krishnan Guru-Murthy when an interview to promote the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron movie turned into an awkward probing into RDJ’s checkered past with drugs and his relationship with his father.

If you haven’t seen the clip, check it out. Krishnan is so blatantly nervous in the moments leading up to asking about RDJ’s past that I wouldn’t be surprised if a puddle laid at his feet. It starts getting gloriously awkward at the 5:30 mark.

Things are getting “a little too Diane Sawyer” is word-for-word the line I’m going to use when my girlfriend asks why I’m so afraid of commitment.

Downey Jr. went on Howard Stern to twist the knife even further into Krishnan by spitting out insults that I needed a dictionary to decipher. “Bottom-feeding muckracker” and “syphilitic parasite” were among the SAT words that I still have yet to learn.

Listen to the entertaining Stern interview here.

Was RDJ a little hard on the poor bastard who was just trying to generate some ratings for his newscast and make a name for himself at Channel 4? I think so. But I’m glad he blasted him so Internet Warriors like me have some juicy content to post. I think that makes me the worst person out of the three of us. But I expected that.
