Ryan Reynolds’ Thoughtful Gesture To A Theater Fined For Showing ‘Deadpool’ And Serving Beer Is A+

Utah’s liquor control authority is threatening to revoke the liquor license of a movie theater for showing Deadpool and serving alcohol. In Utah, it is legal to show movies with nudity in it, and it is legal to sell alcohol, you just can’t do both at the same time. That is illegal. And very stupid.

Two undercover officers went to the viewing of Deadpool at Brewvies, and their report is hilarious.

“The main character (male) in the film is shown numerous times engaging in acts or simulated acts of sexual intercourse with the female counterpart during a holiday themed sex-montage,” Agent Bradley Bullock wrote, detailing the sex acts.

“An example of this is during ‘International Women’s Day’ Vanessa looks to be sodomizing Wade in their bed,” Agent Sean Cannon wrote in a supplemental report. “Later in the movie, Wade gets into a fight with another character – Ajax played by Ed Skrein. During the fight, Wade’s clothing comes off. Wade shows full frontal nudity during the fight scene.”

The theater, Brewvies, faces a suspended liquor license for 10 days or complete revocation, as well as fines ranging from $1,000 to $25,000, reports Fox 13.

Ryan Reynold’s caught wind of this tomfoolery and responded with this.

Reynold’s went a bit further and donated $5,000 to the GoFundMe campaign set up to help the theater in their fight against the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

Pretty damn generous of Ryan, even when you consider how much goddamn money he made from the film.
