If that sounds like your life in a nutshell, don’t worry! Science has determined that your perfectly average dick is perfectly average and perfectly loved by all despite any doubts you keep tucked away in the back of your pretty little head. According to Mirror, researchers at the University of New Mexico as well as the University of California showed 3D models of erect dicks to the women partaking in their study, then had them choose their preference for a long-term relationship and a one-night stand:
75 women took part in the study, ranging in age from 18 to 65. They were California residents, sexually experienced, currently in a sexual relationship, and had had sex recently.
Each was shown 33 penis models – consisting of a cylinder, representing the shaft, topped by a dome, representing the penis head.
These ranged in size from 4.0 inches to 8.5 inches in length and 2.5 inches to 7.0 inches in circumference
They found that the average length women preferred for a long-term relationship was 6.3 inches, with a girth of 4.8 inches.
For one night stands, women preferred a slightly longer penis, with a length of 6.4 inches and a girth of 5.0 inches.(via)
The researchers went on to state in their report that “While this preference for a larger phallus is above the average penis size, it is only very slightly above the average…Novelty itself contributes to pleasure, so seeking a more novel-sized penis may be consistent with a goal to pursue pleasure primarily in one-time partners…Women may prefer a smaller penis size in a long-term partner compared to a one-time partner for reasons of both physical comfort and a preference for less masculinity in a long-term partner.”
In other words, a big dick is fun for one night but not very practical in the long run, whereas your average-to-slightly-above-average dick is the best bet if you want her to keep coming back for more.
