The standard, respectful thing to do when you go skydiving is to tell your parents after you land. Although it’s no more dangerous than driving to the store, parents are worriers, and if you tell them you are going, they will get freaked and spend the day fretting, waiting for your chute to open.
Both my sister and I went (at separate times) and my mom thanked us after for not telling her beforehand. It’s the nice thing to do.
This Bro decided to take a much, much different tact, calling his parents on FaceTime (or technically Skype but whatever) when he was about to jump, having them join him for his descent.
While this video is awesome, don’t ever do that.
