Steve-O Celebrates Being Released From Jail With A Backflip Off The Prison Sign

Back in August, Steve-O lived streamed himself scaling a 100 ft. crane in downtown LA with an inflatable whale reading “Seaworld sucks” to raise awareness of cruel and unjust practices at Sea World. He also lit off fireworks. It was equal parts wonderful and nerve-wracking.

The Jackass and Wild Boys star pleaded no contest to charges of creating a false emergency, use of unregistered fireworks, possession of fireworks without permit and trespassing. He was sentenced to 30 days behind bars.

But, less than eight hours after Steve-O traded in his clothes for a jumpsuit, the 41-year-old was released from prison because of overcrowding within the Twin Towers Correctional Facility.

Steve-O celebrated his release from prison by climbing up the prison sign and backflipping off it.

Steve-O took to Instagram just hours after being released and gave the double bird to Sea World.

Welcome to life as a free man, Steve-O. Must be tough to adjust to freedom after those excruciating 8 hours in prison. Don’t end up like Brooks.

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
