Money can’t buy love. Money also can’t buy the silence of a student who a teacher had sex with. On Wednesday, Pennsylvania teacher Rose Marie Limuli was convicted by a Montgomery County jury of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with an 18-year-old male student.

The 40-year-old teacher was employed for only two years at the Upper Dublin High School but was fired when the shocking revelations came out that she had sex with one of her students.

Between December 2015 and March 31, 2016, Limuli had an improper relationship that started as flirty text exchanges and phone calls to a physical one after he turned 18. The sexual encounters happened “at least 12 occasions” including one time at a dog park where she gave the student oral sex.

But it wasn’t just BJs that the teacher was giving the student. Limuli showered the teen with gifts, including a dirt bike, clothes, and alcohol. She also gave him $1,000 cash and access to her credit card.

During the victim’s testimony he said:

She bought me anything I wanted, honestly. She was buying me stuff every single week. I caught on that she wanted something sexual out of everything she gave me. I didn’t have any affection toward her. She was buying me stuff.

Limuli, who is married, was aware of her crimes and told him she would get in trouble if anyone found out.

The sexual assault charges involved one count of oral sex and one of sexual intercourse. LiMuli was cleared of 10 other sexual assault charges.

LiMuli remains free on bail pending sentencing. As a condition of bail, she can not have contact with any student or former student of the school.
