You Have To Admire This Junior High Teacher Who Used Texting Nude Pics As Part Of His Algebra Lesson
An Ohio junior high school teacher, Daniel Rapp of Middleburg Heights Junior High School, used the concept of texting nudes as a part of his algebra lesson. For some reason, some parents of his students weren’t pleased.
I mean, I guess that is one way to get the kids to pay attention in class. Perhaps it wasn’t best suited for 14-year-old students, however.
Reports Fox 8 Cleveland…
A father contacted Fox 8, complaining that his childrens’ math teacher gave them a lesson that was sexually inappropriate. The teacher has been disciplined after the students snapped a photo of the assignment. The father says he took his children out of the teacher’s class.
The father of two 14-year-old students at Middleburg Heights Junior High School says he was angry when they showed him a photo they snapped of their algebra lesson from earlier this month.
It reads: “Tony can send 5 texts and 3 nudes in 19 minutes. He could also send 3 texts and 1 nude in 9 minutes. How long would it take him to send one text and one nude?”
By golly, it sure does…
“We addressed the teacher and kind of clarified exactly what happened, and in this case provided what we thought was the appropriate consequence, which was clarification that that was inappropriate,” said school superintendent Michael Sheppard.
Superintendent Michael Sheppard says the math teacher, Daniel Rapp, was issued a written reprimand.
“He’s a good teacher, and just in this case used the inappropriate word,” said Sheppard.
The superintendent says the school district conducted a complete investigation into the matter. The father who contacted Fox 8 says he believes the discipline is too lenient, given the sexual nature of the math lesson.
Yeah, I mean, it’s not like he actually SENT NUDES to the students. I consider this major process as we head into 2017.
