These Old Photos Of The Mountain From ‘Game Of Thrones’ Indicate That He Was Once A Skinny Lil’ Bitch

Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, commonly known as The Mountain from Game of Thrones, stands a towering 6 foot 9 inches tall and weighs close to 400 pounds. The 27-year-old can bench press 500 pounds, squat 770 pounds and deadlift 925 pounds. He has broken a 1,000-year-old Viking strongman record and just shattered the world keg toss record by easily tossing a 15kg (33lbs) keg an astounding 7.05 meters (24 feet 6 inches) into the air–breaking his Guiness Book of World Record toss back in 2013.

There is a reason he is called ‘The Mountain’ and Dwayne Johnson is just ‘The Rock.’

With someone as gigantic and physically imposing as Björnsson, some may concede to the fact that he was born that way–coming out of the womb curling 50 pound dumbells.

But, believe it or not, the 4-time World’s Strongest Man champion was once a wiry dude who looked more like a long distance runner than a Transformer. This claim is validated in the photos that have recently been released of Björnsson in his pre-giant days.

What a skinny lil’ bitch. Don’t tell him I said that.

The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
