The Pope Drops Straight Fire Banger Off His Upcoming Rock Album

Pope Francis is so hot right now. All eyes are on him as Argentinian-born Pope makes his first U.S. tour. Cities are getting shut down, Pope Francis bobbleheads are selling out, good Christian folk are scalping their free tickets to see the Pope and asking for as much as $700 for a pair of tickets, the Pope is having lunch with homeless in Washington D.C., and he went to the United Nations to address climate change followed by a trip to the the 9/11 memorial. This is one busy dude, but not to busy to drop his new album.

The first single off of the Pope’s upcoming album “Wake Up” has been released. It’s titled “Wake Up! Go! Go! Forward!” and it takes a speech that Pope Francis gave to South Koreans last year, and it adds soothing synths, horns and electric guitars for a prog-rock sound.

Pope Francis shows his impressive versatility and speaks in Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese over 11 tracks. The Pontifex’s debut album hits on topics such as peace, dignity, environmental concerns and helping those most in need. Rock star Pope is gonna do what rock star Pope is gonna do.

Don Giulio Neroni is the producer and artistic director of this heavenly project. No pressure dude, just make sure you don’t fuck up the debut album of God’s spokesperson on Earth.

Pope Francis announces this new album while he’s in the United States and has all the headlines and spotlight. Just a savvy marketing move right there.

You can preorder the album on iTunes and even follow the Pope on Twitter here. He probably has a pretty decent Klout score.
