There is something to be said for parents pushing kids a little past their limits. Be it an innate knowledge your kid can handle it, or confidence in knowing they’ll be alright, sometimes parents just need to help their children get over a hump.
This, though, is not that. This is both dickish and dangerous.
Actually, I’m not sure this is the kid’s dad, but regardless, has probably scarred him for life.
