4-foot-1 Bro Scores Basket in Feel-Good Play of Year

Steve Kraft is the student-manager of the Laurel, Montana basketball team. On his 18th birthday this Saturday, he provided that feel-good moment that the Internet seems to provide in spades (yet never gets old).

Kraft, who was born with dwarfism, got a Senior Night start from his coach Pat Hansen for the first time in his four-year career. He enjoyed paper-banner smashing, some cheerful shit-talking from his coach—“He’s 4-1 with a ladder, maybe,” Hansen said prior to the game—and, yes, the first points of his career. Watch as Kraft drives to the lane with a pretty great move, scoring a floater that drives the crowd nuts. It’s not like he didn’t warn ’em: “I will steal the ball if I have the chance. I’m not going to take it easy on them,” Kraft said. Ooo kill ’em.
