Yesterday, Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers was a guest on the “You Made It Weird,” the popular podcast of comedian and actor Pete Holmes, and recanted a pretty interesting story about witnessing “a UFO” with Cal teammate Steve Levy in New Jersey in 2005.
“It was a large orange, left-to-right-moving object. Because of the overcast nature of the night and the snow, you couldn’t make out—it was kind of behind the clouds we were seeing, but it was definitively large, moving from left to right. It was me, Steve [Levy], and his brother that saw it. And it goes out of sight and we look at each other and go ‘What in the fuck was that?’”
Rodgers went on to say that shortly after witnessing the UFO, he heard what sounded like fighter jets patrolling the skies.
“When the plane, which kind of looked like commercial jets or maybe it’s military jets, are trying to figure out what is coming through the clouds and you see like just kind of a fiery movement of cloud I guess…the plane eventually runs into the spaceship,” “It was like that in the sense it was a large, orange, left-to-right moving object.”
“Anybody who has been to a flyover or an airshow or has seen Top Gun, you know the sound a fighter jet makes when it flies by. And there were about four of those.”
“Now if you know anything about UFO sightings, or have done research, you know that a lot of times two things are connected to UFO sightings. One is the presence of fighter jets, and two there are a lot of sightings around nuclear power plants. So to tie it all together, the sound we heard was from a nuclear power plant around 30 miles off.”
The great thing about the interview was that Rodgers sounded dead serious about the whole thing and really believed that he saw a UFO.
