Ohio State standout senior Adolphus Washington will be suspended from playing in the Buckeyes upcoming bowl game for violating team policy, according to a statement released Friday morning by coach Urban Meyer.
The star defensive tackle was arrested Wednesday after responding to a Backpage.com ad for sex, which led to Washington offering an undercover cop $100 for the services, according to documents obtained from the Franklin County Municipal Court.

The incident happened on Wednesday, when vice detectives were conducting a sting operation at the Extended Stay America hotel located in the 7400 block of High Cross Boulevard. A Columbus police officer was working as the “decoy prostitute,” court documents state.
Authorities say Washington had answered an escort ad at Backpage.com. The ad was posted in an escort section that stated: “New to Columbus, Experience the Best.”
About 10 p.m., a text came through stating, “I just called.”
“The male stated on a previous phone call that he wanted to come for a visit and asked for the address,” the document states. “The officer texted back with the address and 25 minutes later the male texted he was here.”
Once in the hotel room, Washington told the officer he wanted a “short stay” at the hotel, authorities say. He was told that a short stay would cost $60. The documents state Washington took cash out of his pocket and said he had $100. He reportedly asked the officer if she had change.
The officer said she did not have change; Washington responded: “Well, what will $100 get me?”
The officer said it would get him an hour.
Reportedly, Washington said, “That was fine” and put the cash on the dresser.
Authorities say the officer agreed to oral sex for $100 and then “gave the arrest signal.”

Explain to me how can you be a star defensive tackle on one of (arguably) the best teams in the nation, with NFL draft potential nonetheless, and feel the need to solicit sex from prostitutes!? Just doesn’t make sense.
Now, I’m not trying to draw any judgements about the student body at Ohio State University, but I think it’s safe to say that Adolphus Washington would probably have no problem finding a nice girl that he could’ve spent that $100 on going out to dinner, and well, you know where this is going!
But now you’re gonna miss the Fiesta Bowl. The thing you worked towards all season long. Because you wanted to pay an undercover cop for a blowjob. Now that’s a damn shame.
