Watching OKC Thunder Guard Andre Roberson Air-Ball Two Straight Free Throws Is Cringeworthy

What’s worse than making national news for leaving a $14 tip on a $487 bill after signing a $30 million contract? Making national news for air balling back-to-back free throws. Thunder guard Andre Roberson did both, the latter last night against the Timberwolves. To add insult to injury, The Thunder eventually lost the game by two points on an Andrew Wiggins buzzer-beater.

As SB Nation points out, Roberson has been absolutely horrific from the charity stripe in his career. Since joining the Thunder in 2013, the 25-year-old has shot a laughable.489 from the line. For perspective, Shaq finished up his career with .529 from the same line.

You know you need to change up your mechanics when the other team is laughing at you during a playoff game last year.

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
