Earlier today, there was a memorial service held in Latrobe, PA to honor the life and memory of Arnold Palmer. Many famous faces from the world of golf were in attendance. Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler, Bubba Watson, Ernie Els, Nick Faldo, Tom Watson, Lee Trevino, and many more of the most decorated players in golf history were there to say one last goodbye to the King.
During the two hour and fifteen minute memorial service, many friends of Arnold Palmer spoke, but the two that stood out were Jim Nantz and Jack Nicklaus. Nantz because he speaks so eloquently. And Nicklaus because he is arguably the greatest golfer of all time and his friendship with Palmer spanned 60 years. You could sense both felt a great deal of loss from Palmer’s passing and that was before they each started to fight back tears.
