Baker Mayfield may have talked his way up the NFL draft this weekend with his brash personality on full display during the NFL scouting combine.
While speaking to the media on Friday, Mayfield made his case on why the Cleveland Browns should draft him with one of their top picks in this year’s draft.
“First things first, they’d get a winner,”. “If there’s anyone who would turn that franchise around, it’d be me,” he said. “They’re close. They’re very close. They’ve got the right pieces. I think they just need that one guy at quarterback.”
It seems that not only are scouts impressed by Mayfield’s demeanor but it seems like he scored well in the film room.

Now that Saquon Barkley made a strong case for himself at the combine to get drafted #! overall by the Browns, Cleveland appears to be interested in taking Mayfield at the #4 spot.

Yep. Firmly. As in I truly believe he’s their pick at 1 as of right now. As for the QB and what they might do at 4, there is very strong buzz Cleveland likes Baker Mayfield a lot.
I’m all for the Baker Mayfield show in Cleveland next season. The city would rally behind Mayfield if he’s as good as the scouts say he is. Hopefully he doesn’t turn out to be Johnny Manziel 2.0 because that would be a bummer.
